A group of Norwegan fly fishermen are now succsessfully targeting and catching these spectacular fish on the fly. The article was made during a trip in august 2006 with Swedish and Norwegen fishermen camping and fishing in the beautiful arcipelago. Three Swedish flyfishermen went there to try to persuade sailfish on the fly. It proved to be a difficult task as the water were filled with natural bait, and the fish difficult to tease up to the boat. But sailfish finally showed up and took the fly. |

All transportation is done by helicopter, as there are basicly only one road that stretches from south to north. The penisnula has a lot of volcanic activity, and you find hot springs and snowcovered peaks everywhere. Kamchatka also has the highest density of bears in the world. In this piece a group of European flyfishermen drifs along one remote river during 8 days, fishing for rainbow trout, silver salmin and dolly varden.
